The rifle has been custom made by Walter Kolouch, an Austrian now resident in the United States. His work has included a number of fine sporting rifles and he was responsible for building the shotguns presented to ex-Communist General Secretary Krushchev by the former President Richard Nixon. He has also played a leading part in the new A.F. Fox shotgun revival. The inscription on the magazine floorplate is the words used to describe Sir Richard Burton's 10-bore achievements by his retinue. The rifle has been in constant use on safari over the last 15 years and is designed to be a true professional hunter's rifle. It remains in excellent condition and comes complete with 100 rounds of ammunition
