The rifle has a heavy barrel and the early safety catch. It was formerly the property of Jack O'Connor, the famous American 'Outdoor Life' writer who made several safaris with Mr. Kingsley-Heath in the 1950s and '60s; the rifle was presented to him when Jack O'Connor made his final safari with him early in the 1970s.
