SCHERPING (HANOVER), No. 1378, with a set of interchangeable extra shot barrels, manual side-safe, non-ejector, double set-triggers, bolstered treble-grip scroll-back action-body with matt-top detonating, chiselled serpentine fences, best woodland engraving with scenes of fox, rabbit, pheasant and deer, the whole surrounded by bouquets and foliate-scrolls, ornate carved horn triggerguard, highly-figured stock with horn butt-plate, the forend inset with a Princely monogram, the Krupp Excelsior-steel barrels with matt rib, open-sights and gold-inlaid breech-ends, the sight-rib mounted with a Zeiss 'Zielvier' telescopic-sight in quickly-detachable mounts, with gold-inlaid maker's signature
