Of eighteenth century Kuba inspiration, the brick-red field scattered with stylised flowerheads, birds, human figures and various motifs around a central column of five stylised hooked polychrome panels with pendants, each with stylised cruciforms and smaller lozenges, flanked by two rows of similar smaller polychrome lozenges, in a shaded blue border of diagonal polychrome hooked motifs, one end with palmettes and floral sprays, between flowerhead and barber-pole stripes, small repairs, repaired cut at one end and damage in two corners
