A pair of French silver-mounted glass claret jugs
maker's mark of Tetard Frères, Paris, second half of the 19th century
Each on shaped-square base, cast and chased with flutes and shells, foliage and diaper-work, the glass bodies engraved with shell, scrolls and foliage, the lower part with foliate scroll mount and with open-work foliate scroll handle, the neck mounts chased and pierced with shells, foliate scrolls, flowers and ribbons, and with hinged cover with foliage finial, marked on bases, mounts and covers
