A George II silver tea kettle, stand and lamp
maker's mark of Aymé Videau, London, 1735
The stand on three shell and scroll feet hung between with ribbon-tied foliage swags, with central plain lamp with detachable cover, the spherical tea kettle with fluted curved spout, hinged flat cover, part- wood finial and wicker covered swing handle, chased and engraved with bands of shells, scrolls, flowers and diaperwork on a matted ground, later engraved with a crest, marked on body, the cover unmarked, the stand with maker's mark only, the lamp cover unmarked
