Plain tapering cylindrical and on moulded rim foot, with curved facetted spout, part-wood side handle, hinged domed cover and bud finial, later engraved with a coat-of-arms within scroll and foliage cartouche, marked on side and cover

Lot Essay

The arms are those of Snow impaling Paul, for George Snow Esq and his wife Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Onesiphorus Paul Kt, whom he married in 1743. Sir Onesiphorus was knighted in 1760 and granted arms in 1761.
