(Some light spotting to first and last few leaves.) Contemporary green straight-grained morocco gilt by A.Schillings, the covers elaborately panelled and tooled in gilt, the flat spine with two unequally-sized panels, lettered in the smaller upper one, the lower tooled in gilt, gilt turn-ins, the doublures of purple straight-grained morocco with a wide fillet and roll-tool border enclosing an overall repeat geometric pattern, silvered-paper endleaves on morocco guards, g.e., signed at foot of spine A.Schillings (neat repairs to head and foot of spine), modern cloth box. Provenance: Alb [ert] Schillings (?the binder, inscription dated Tours 21 November 1873).
