Album containing fifty albumen prints, each approx. 7¼ x 9¼ in. or the reverse, the majority credited Skeen & Co. and numbered, and with occasional titles in the negatives, loosely inserted in window mounts with ruled borders, forty-two titled in pencil on mounts, red lacquer boards, gilt onlay depicting flowers and birds and a Japanese view in separate panels, g.e., oblong 4to.

Portraits of native Singhalese men and women including images of women doing their hair, tea-picking, 'Kandyan Singhalese women' in traditional dress, planting tea, a semi-nude portrait of a 'working-class' woman, a group portrait of 'South Indian Tamil Cooly girls', mat-weavers, goldsmiths, a portrait of a Kandyan chief, and group portraits of a Paduwa family; scenes with elephants, and several views around Kandy including Kandy lake.
