Lot Essay

Harold Stabler was the founder of the Design and Industries Association (DIA). His wife Phoebe studied under Herbert McNair, and together she and Harold created designs for jewellery, pottery, silver and cloisonné enamels, the latter often being executed by the Japanese master Kato.
