A Continental silver-gilt filigree inkstand
apparently unmarked, possibly French or Italian, 19th century
Of oval form, on shell and C-scroll feet and with openwork flowerhead and trailing foliate border enhanced with narrow rope-twist bands, the raised centre fitted with two mounted shaped circular glass inkwells, a central wafer box raised on a vine and floral-decorated pillar and four griffin penrests, apparently unmarked, possibly French or Italian
