Embroidered in grey and white beads; a miser's purse; a handkerchief; and a single mitten, sold with a note "These things all belonged to my dear old Great Aunt Eleanor Walter, who brough up my mother and lived at a delightful old house called Brownstigg, near Dumfries, where we all loved staying when we were small.
