A FRENCH ORMOLU-MOUNTED SATINWOOD AND FLORAL MARQUETRY COMMODE
19th Century
Of Louis XV style, the serpentine moulded breccia marble top above two bombé drawers extensively inlaid sans traverse with foliate and floral scrolls with rocaille mounts, the quarter-veneered sides conformingly inlaid with floral bouquets and birds, above shaped legs terminating in C-scrolled sabots, the underside of the marble inscribed Campbell, with label inscribed drawing room to the back and further label inscribed PARIS 143 to the underside, minor lifting to the veneer
