Each with central foliate shaft and down swept acanthus drip-pan and waisted and beaded nozzle, on a gadrooned and foliate platform issuing two further entwined and scrolled foliate branches, on a tapering channeled and foliate ringed support and conforming moulded circular base, the nozzles adapted

Lot Essay

These candelabra were originally used with oil burners, the base would have contained the reservoir, and the burning wick would have drawn the oil up through the hollow-cast branches.
