The drawings have great charm, but more importantly depict scenes and views that have generally changed radically. A good example of this is the view of Fulham Palace which shows the Eastern Quadrangle rebuilt in 'Strawberry Hill Gothick' for Bishop Terrick (1764-1766) to the designs of Stiff Leadbetter. These alterations were themselves altered in about 1814 to the outline as it is seen today. Abbey Scenery 432; Tooley 102. (3)
