Small oblong 2° (240 x 340mm). Chromolithographic title printed partly in gold, 27 chromolithographic plates after Federico Mialhe with blue decorative borders with captions in Spanish, plates 16, 17 & 19 with English translations, folding map of Cuba, folding plan of Havana. (Slightly soiled and spotted, mostly marginal, plates 4, 8 & 11 loose with margins soiled and torn.) Original pale purple blindstamped cloth, title in gilt on upper cover (faded, spine worn, hinges and stitching weak).
An attractive series of views of Cuba, issued in two states, chromolithographs or tinted lithographs, with plates 4-6 forming a panorama of Havana, by the author of Viage pintoresco al rededor de la Isla de Cuba (Havana, ca. 1840). Palau 5421; 167989 (note).
