Of silver shape, on three scroll feet and with scroll handle, painted in olive-green and manganese with a flower-spray (rim chip and some glaze flaking), manganese M mark

Lot Essay

This form is not illustrated by Meinz, although it is recorded in the price list of 1788. The only recorded example, most probably the present lot, was formerly in the C.C. Meyer Collection, Bremen, sold Lepke, Berlin, 7 October 1913, lot 1687, (see Meinz, op.cit., p. 50)
