A Strasbourg rococo oval two-handled tureen, cover and stand
Circa 1750
With eagle's head handles coloured in shades of pink, yellow and brown, the sides moulded with scrolls in purple, puce, green and yellow on a scroll base enriched in similar colours, the cover with rose finial and painted with a specimen rose within a moulded feuilles-de-choux border enriched in purple, the shaped stand with similar feuilles-de-choux border and shaped yellow rim, the centre with two tied roses (very slight flakes to tips of beaks, chip to underside of cover and to petals of rose finial)
