A French Faience group of a Gardener
Circa 1775, perhaps Sceaux
Modelled as a lady with elaborately dressed hair, holding a flower-pot and wearing a gathered long coat and tiered dress, painted with pink roses and blue flowers edged with blue and gilt lace, a youth at her side in pink jacket and striped yellow waistcoat and trousers and with a sheep at their feet, on a shaped mound base moulded with puce and blue scrolls (restoration to their hands, her left arm through shoulder, chips to flowers, foliage and bows)
