Painted with birds before a cloudy sky and among foliage within a gilt bird-cage, the centre of the saucer simulated to form the top and handle of the cage, the high scroll handle and interior to the cup richly gilt (chip to underside rim of saucer and minute flake to green enamel beside handle), blue shield marks, impressed 36 and date code 818 to cup and 27 to saucer
