The cover and sides painted with Orientals at various pursuits by furniture and shrubs on Gitterwerk supports reserved with quatrefoil cartouches of puce harbour scenes, the base with a puce quayside scene, the interior of the cover with three nude ladies amidst bullrushes overlooked by three other figures standing on a jetty, the base richly gilt, the mount with shell and scroll thumbpiece (slight rubbing to enamels of base)
