Album containing thirteen albumen prints, each approx. 7½ x 10¼ in. or the reverse, titled in ink on mounts, half calf (worn), oblong 4to.; with a folder containing twenty-two loose photographs of elephants, art reproductions and views. (a lot)

Lot Essay

The album, probably the work of a single photographer, documents subjects in a region which seems to have been little photographed during this period. Subjects include views of temples, tombs, palaces and bridges in and around Dacca including an image of the ruined bridge at Toongee.
