Two fine views which show the magnificence of scale of the fort and palace, with the Octagonal or Jasmine Tower (Mussaman Burj) in the foreground and the view along the Yamuna river in the distance. The area between the outer rampart and the inner wall, visible in the bottom of the picture, is said to be where gladiatorial battles were held between men and tigers during the Emperor's reign in the 17th century. The open tower and pavilion provided perfect viewing areas for the Emperor.
