Lot Essay

Exhibited in Italy according to the detached label. The artist was born in Tokyo and graduated from Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1900. He exhibited with the Hakubakai and with the Bunten, helped to found the Kofukai and travelled to Europe in 1921-2. He established the Hakujitsukai with Tomita On'ichiro in 1924.
