The massive twin chain fusee movement with five double-screwed pillars, best quality free-sprung bimetallic compensated balance with double-overcoiled blued steel spring to the lever platform, jewelled in châtons and with best quality foliate engraved balance cock and platform, jewelled contrate wheel, Harrison's maintaining power, strike on gong on the plain backplate engraved Chas. Frodsham. Clock Maker to the King. 115 New Bond St. W. No. 2188., Willis-style white enamel Roman dial with blued fleur-de-lys hands and signed Chas. Frodsham Clock Maker to the King 115 New Bond St. London 2188, subsidiary white enamel up-and-down dial below VI and within a gilt mask finely engraved with flowers and scrolling foliage, the case of best quality with outswept reeded feet, similar decoration to the four angles with stepped bases, the solid rear door with shuttered wind and hand-set apertures, concave-moulded and beaded top with large bevelled viewing aperture and reeded bow handle
