FRONT DIAL
The numerous subsidiaries centred by a silvered Arabic mean-time chapter ring with sweep centre seconds and engraved in the centre Temps Moyen, the larger dial below giving the equation of Time, rolling ball moonphase, day of week, month and year; lower subsidiary left dial giving times of sunrise and sunset, the opposing subsidiary dial giving sidereal time, central subsidiaries above for; on the left: Dominical Letter and Golden Number; the right subsidiary: the solar cycle and epact, the year date above the mean time dial flanked by subsidiaries for hygrometer and thermometer, the central 24-hour dial above engraved Mouvement Astronomique and with indication for the perpetual calendar release
RIGHT SIDE DIAL
With two main silvered dials; the upper engraved Hauteur du Soleil (height of sun) with gilt-metal solar hand, subsidiary rings for the four seasons engraved Printem, Eté, Automn, Hiver, the four year cycle ring engraved Année Bisextile & phase of moon engraved Lune Sid.; the lower sidereal 24-hour dial with inner ring engraved for the eight hours of prayer
LEFT SIDE DIAL
Giving world time for 34 capitals around the world, above that the annual dial with month and sign of Zodiac
MOVEMENT
Solid rear door engraved on the inside Tiffany to the perpetual calendar movement, the escapement platform mounted on the backplate of the main movement with interconnecting bevel gear linkage to the astronomical side dials, the thermometer cover engraved Tiffany & Co. Paris
HELIOCENTRIC ORRERY
With annular silvered year calendar ring with blued steel pointer, the candle representing the sun with the earth revolving around it every year with its moon revolving around the earth every month and ascending and descending above and below the equator of the earth controlled by a silvered cam ring
CASE
with plain detached columns to the four angles surmounted by urn finials, the moulded base on toupie feet; now with ebonised panelled plinth and brass-framed glazed dome
