The case on later skirted plinth with Arabesques marquetry to the plinth and to the rectangular trunk door with lenticle and to the flat- top hood with brass-capped quarter columns and pierced wood sound frets to sides and frieze, the 12 in. sq. dial signed Jos. Jackeman London Bridge within a foliate engraved oval in the matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring, calendar aperture and ringed winding holes, silvered chapter ring with lozenge half-hour markers, later black painted hands, crown-and-sceptre spandrels, the re-trained six-pillar movement with inside countwheel strike on bell and now chiming on eight bells, anchor escapement; associated and restored
