The rectangular case with simple moulded cornices, arched glazed door to the circular white enamel Roman and Arabic 24-hour dial signed L'Heure Electrique Paris, black painted Roman chapters and inner concentric red painted Arabic chapters (13 to 24), blued spade hands, the movement with jewelled thirty-toothed 'scape wheel with five crossings running on a similarly jewelled counterpoised pawl and with small circular white enamel seconds ring with counterpoised blued steel hand, the 'scape wheel set with a single double-headed steel pin which on every single revolution closes two sets of contacts, the first activating the electromagnet on the left side giving impulse to the pendulum; the second advancing the motion work behind the dial one minute; the pendulum with invar rod and brass-covered lead bob with rating nut below; sold with small transformer
