The silvered dial with Roman and Arabic numerals signed D. McGregor & Co. Makers to the Admiralty Glasgow & Greenock. M/2541, filled red Auxiliary Compensation H, gold hour and minute hands, blued steel hand for the subsidiary seconds and up-and-down dials, main-frame assembly carrying reversed fusee, barrel and centre wheel, sub-frame assembly with chain guard protector and carrying remainder of train and Earnshaw escapement with Mercer's auxiliary type-H compensated balance, blued steel helical balance spring, brass gimbal and bowl numbered 2713, the brass line-inlaid box with vacant roundel to top lid, the second tier with a mother-of-pearl rectangular plaque engraved D. McGregor & Co. Makers to the Admiralty Glasgow & Greenock, flush recessed brass handles to the sides
