The frosted gilt fusee movement with square baluster pillars, pierced cock and foot with verge escapement, the two trains wound through the back, the alarm sounding on a bell, white enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute divisions, central alarm hand, gold and decorative hands, in chased and pierced inner and outer case, the outer with a repoussé decoration depicting Diogenes advising the wayfarer the time it will take to reach his destination, movement signed and numbered
