The first of three karako at play, signed Masakazu, 4.5cm.; another of a boy playing with a toad, signed Masatami, 3.2cm.; an okimono style netsuke of a farmer, signed Hojitsu, 4.6cm. wide; a Kagetoshi style netsuke of a landscape with buildings and pine trees in deeply cut and undercut sukashibori, unsigned, (a minor hairline crack on the base), 2.8cm. wide; a stained ivory of a peony flower, unsigned, 3.2cm. wide; and a wood netsuke of a laughing Hotei, 3.5cm. wide; and another of a lotus pod, with movable seeds, unsigned, (one seed possibly replaced), 4cm. wide (7)
