An Imari Wine Cup
Early 18th Century
The fluted cup, rising from a flange moulded as a flower with ranked petals over a slender stem and flat spreading foot, decorated in typical coloured enamels with two formal panels of gilt on red on the cup and sprays of camellia in between, leaves on the stem, and similar panels on the foot, the outer flower petals and part of the foot in underglaze blue
