AN IMPORTANT SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND NECKLACE BY CARTIER
Designed as a series of five sapphire and diamond detachable clip brooches mounted as a necklace, each set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 4.05, 3.49, 6.62, 2.80 and 3.77 carats to a two-row diamond surround with ribbon bow surmount and diamond collet spacers, to a single-line necklace with sapphire and diamond three-stone clasp, with French assay and maker's marks, circa 1950, 41.5cm. long

With certificates 1225880, 1225898, 1225901, 1225910, 1225936 dated 25/4/1996 from The Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britain stating that four of the stones are from Kashmir, Burma and Sri Lanka, all with no evidence of heat treatment
