This work comes from the Livre d'Or of Formes et Couleurs a magazine founded by André Held in Paris during the Second World War in order to protect and support writers and artists and allow them to create without having to collaborate with the Germans. This Livre d'Or contains many drawings, gouaches, watercolours, pastels, letters and photographs which were given to André Held by various artists such as M. Brianchon, J. Cocteau, C. Caillard, R. Oudot, P. Monay and E. Goerg.
