2 volumes in one, 263 x 180mm. 231 leaves, COMPLETE, collation: 1-28 = Register (f-8 blank); 3-218 = first volume; 22-288 = second volume (28/7 cancelled, 8 blank); 298 = second register. (Sidenotes often cropped). Later 15th-century blindstamped calf over wooden boards (upper cover very rubbed; clasps present, catches lacking).

With a later continuation in a different hand on two leaves (f.219-20) for 1 Mary and 1 Philip and Mary [1553 to 1555]. The first Register is also in a different later hand.

15th-century ownership inscription at the end of each volume: I. Iste Registrum Cancellarie Anglie constat Nicolas Fowle. II. Iste registrum iudiciale constat Nicolas Fowle pret.10 sh. Early 17th-century ownership inscription 'Thomas Thomson me possidet' who notes at the end of the first volume that he paid 20 sh. Sir Thomas Phillipps Ms 10349 (purchased from Baynes & Co. from the library of Dr. Adam Clarke).
