engraving, circa 1540, Archer's second state (of five), with Lafreri's address, a fine impression with very good contrasts, watermark Kneeling Saint bearing a Cross (M. wmk 80, dated mid-16th Century), with margins, a small surface loss with associated thinning and one or two touches of red ink (?) in the robe of the statue of Abraham in the niche at the left, a pinhole in the headdress of the woman to the immediate right of the niche, a central, vertical printer's crease, otherwise generally in very good condition
