etching, 1635, third state (of five), before the appearance of the line between the Devil's right claw and wing, a very good, strong impression, with an indistinct Coat of Arms watermark, trimmed on or just within the platemark, an approx. 60mm. repaired tear just beneath the Devil's mouth, another in the body, the upper corners made up, further short tears at the sheet edges, two central vertical creases mainly visible on the reverse, some surface dirt mainly on the reverse, lesser defects
