etching, circa 1653, third state (of seven), before the strengthening of the borderline and the rounding of the plate corners, a very fine and clear impression, with very good contrasts, and printed with tone, watermark Phoenix within a double-encircled floral border (Churchill 499, dated 1631), with narrow margins, a small repaired area (?) in the lower left margin, a small thin area at the upper right, generally in good condition
