Embellished with numerous silver bosses, as well as three half-length female figures and the arms of the Lugiano family of Treviso; the reverse indistinctly inscribed in ink 'uco uco/...o 1860'; with a suspension loop on the reverse.
Pierced along the upper rim.

Lot Essay

The present charger displays a combination of Italian mannerist motifs such as the strapwork cartouches, and 'moorish' elements such as the use of silver and the interlaced pattern of the borders, which is often referred to as Veneto-Saracenic.
