Signed with a monogram in the cartouche at bottom centre; in a later ebonised wooden frame with suspension loop; the paper on the reverse inscribed in ink 'mu', and with two old labels on the reverse indistinctly inscribed '...97 osno oysn' and 'gat 195'.
Some wear to gilding; cracks.

Lot Essay

The scene shows the Last Supper, with Christ feeding the sop to Judas, clearly identified by the money-bag in his left hand. The monogram, which has been found on other Malines alabasters, has not been identified (Derveaux-Van Ussel, loc. cit.).
