Of campana form and on spreading circular foot, the body chased with bands of shells, foliage and anthemions and applied below the rim with a band of trailing vines on a matted ground, with foliate scroll handles terminating in a satyr's mask, the domed cover chased with foliage and with detachable stylised bud and foliage finial, the cover engraved with a crest and motto, the foot engraved with two crests and mottos, two beneath a Marquess' coronet, marked on body, cover and finial

The first crest is that of Stuart for John, 2nd Marquess of Bute and 7th Earl of Dumfries, K.T. (1793-1848).
The second crest is that of Guest for Josiah John Guest, Esq., (1785-1852), later created a baronet in 1838, father of Ivor Bertie Guest, 2nd Bt. and 1st Baron Wimborne.
