Lot Essay

Possibly a companion to lot 110. The group of houses on the right is clearly based on the same drawing as that for those on the left of the View to the East over the Little Park, Windsor, in the collection of the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensbury, Drumlanrig (Jane Roberts, 'Views of Windsor: Watercolours by Thomas and Paul Sandby', Exhibition Catalogue, Amsterdam, U.S. tour and Manchester, 1995-7, no.7, p.100, fig.32.1).
