The same Palladian Gatehouse is shown in the background of Zoffany's painting of the Three Daughters of John, 3rd Earl of Bute, illustrated in M. Webster, 'Johann Zoffany', Exhibition Catalogue, National Portrait Gallery, London, 1977, pp.30-31, no.21. Sandby's original mount is close to those on lots 110 and 106.
