A large Attic red-figure squat lekythos, attributed to the Karlsruhe Painter
Mid 5th Century B.C.
With high gloss glaze, showing a young woman in frontal pose by an altar, she stands holding a phiale in outstretched left hand and pours from an oinochoe in her right hand on to the altar below to her right, she wears chiton and himation, and her hair in a sakkos, traces of added white for flames on the altar and two line nonsense inscription above her right hand, reserved ground line below, red wash on base, (intact, fine condition)
