An Attic white-ground lekythos, attributed to the Aischines Painter
Mid 5th Century B.C.
The black lip with unpainted top, the neck and shoulder with black-figure decoration, short rays around base of neck and swirling palmette frieze around shoulder, the white-ground body with a standing youth, wearing chlamys and petasos, holding staff in his left hand turning his head back and holding out his right hand, meander between pairs of lines above scene, single line below, and reserved line on lower body, (minor repair to handle, otherwise intact, fine condition)
