A Calenian lidded guttus
Late 4th-early 3rd Century B.C.
With metallic glaze all over except reserved underside, small ring handle, the sides ribbed, and with a moulded lion-head spout, the spread of the lion's mane incised, the small lid with knob handle, underneath it a double-pronged attachment to secure the lid to body, a circular opening for lid with cut-out notch to side allowing for lid attachment, (intact)
