An Etruscan bucchero ware trefoil-lipped oinochoe
Mid 6th Century B.C.
The body decorated in relief with three lions walking in profile to the right, with four tapering tongues between them, repaired, 12in. (30.5cm.) high; another bucchero oinochoe with spherical body, 10½in. (26.5cm.) high; and an impasto ware askos of ring form with cylindrical neck at one side with pinched mouth, the strap handle decorated with central braid, the ring body with 'metope and triglyph' panels incised with short grooves, the 'metopes' containing two cockerels, two flying birds and another similar bird walking, handle repaired, small chip to mouth, second half of 8th Century B.C., 6 1/8in. (15.5cm.) diam. (3)
