With a scene of a musical competition depicting a double-flute or aulos-player on a podium flanked by two draped judges wearing himations, framed by columns on either side, dotted tendrils in the field, five palmettes and a band of tongues on the shoulder, neck missing, 11½in. (28.4cm.) high; another black-glazed lekythos, the shoulder with four red-figure palmettes, repaired, neck missing, 10¾in. (27.3cm.) high; and a black-figure olpe, the front panel decorated with an armed warrior with an attendant in front of four horses, a double row of ivy leaves and chequer pattern above, details in added purple and white, repaired, circa 500 B.C., 10in.
