A Romano-Egyptian mosaic glass inlay of a female New Comedy theatrical half mask
Late 2nd Century B.C./1st Century A.D.
The lower part, with a translucent greyish blue matrix, the opaque white face with open black mouth and red lips, with other details delineated in black, the opaque red hair dressed in two long ringlets and an opaque white beaded tassel hanging down, possible remains of a green and yellow ivy garland in the hair; and another lower part of a female half mask, with translucent amber curls, repaired
