A Roman translucent glass trefoil-lipped juglet
Circa 3rd Century A.D.
With inward-folded rim, the squat body decorated with wavy encircling trail, handle applied to rim and shoulder, some iridescence, 3in. (7.6cm.) high; a clear glass flask, with cylindrical body, the tall cylindrical neck with wide horizontal rim, the body with moulded relief decoration of two lines of zigzags, pale silvery yellow iridescence, circa 9th-10th Century A.D., 2¾in. (7cm.) high; an amber glass trefoil-lipped flask, the spherical body with short neck, decorated with fine spiralling trail terminating in a blob, the whole with iridescence, 2in. (5cm.) high; a translucent faceted glass beaker, of conical form on flared foot with encircling flange above, the body decorated with three rows of interlocking concave facets, pearl white iridescence, cut down at rim, upper body missing, small chip to foot, 2¾in. (7cm.) high; a small opaque white glass pilgrim flask, with flattened body, tall cylindrical neck and inward-folded rim, opaque white iridescence, 2 3/8in. (6cm.) high; and a translucent glass miniature flask, with pear-shaped body and cylindrical neck, the whole with opaque white iridescence, 1 7/8in. (4.6cm.) high, all 1st-2nd Century A.D. (6)
